The island of Krk is connected to the rest of Croatia via regular bus lines. If you decide to travel to Šilo (Krk) by bus form abroad, you will have to purchase a ticket to Rijeka. Once you have reached Rijeka, you will be able to buy a ticket for one of the many bus lines that travel to the island of Krk and to Šilo.By Train
The island of Krk does not have a railroad connection with the rest of Croatia. However, you can travel to Rijeka by train and than to Krk by one of the regular bus lines that commute from Rijeka to Krk.
Another beneficial circumstance is the Rijeka airport, which is situated on the island of Krk, only a few miles from the historical town of Omišalj. The airline companies which connect Krk with the rest of the world are: Croatia Airlines, EasyJet, Hapag Lloyd Express, and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
